This project begins with the vision and leadership of Ana Belique, who initiated the partnership with WAAD to request support with making this text accessible in English. Yanilda Gonzalez organized the initial translation process.

The effort to publish the English translation as a digital resource was led by Miriam Neptune, who offered Barnard College Digital Humanities Center as a host and technical support partner for the project.

Rocio Silverio along with Miriam Neptune, Amarilys Estrella, Kleaver Cruz, and Stephanie Holguin - recruited volunteer translators and organized a “table read” process in which we met biweekly for several months to read the translations and the original text aloud to each other. Along with Javiela Evangelista we made edits that we hope maintained the voice of each author.
